Glesbygd'n (SE)

Moving through influences of Swedish folk music, soul, jazz and the new European wave of roots reggae and dub, Glesbyd'n seek to find their own expression. With his characteristic traits as a singer, Arvid gives a voice to the 400 year old dialect tradition, evolved and spoken amongst settlers, farmers and people used to facing steady contrary winds of Arvidsjaur, a remote place located in the inland parts of Northern Sweden, neare the Artic circle .  Glesbygd’n, a political nine member band from the deepest woods of Lapland, Sweden, has made the choice to stand on its own.
