Volunteer 2010

SCHEDULING HAS STARTED.....YOU ARE STILL WELCOME TO APPLY ANYWAY - WE WILL CONTACT YOU IF NEEDED!

The volunteers are an essential part of Dragonfly Festival in fact we prefer to call them family….its much the same really except we get to choose our brothers and sisters (so-to-speak).

This year we are trying out a new volunteer application process. If you would like to join our fantastic team then please fill out the volunteer application form here

A few of our previous volunteers have mentioned that they would like to get more involved in the running of things. If you feel that you could take on some more responsibility (e.g. area management, scheduling assistance) and hours then please do let us know.

Once we have received your application, we will contact you with further details and ask you to confirm that you will be attending on the dates you have specified. Please let us know as soon as possible if your plans change so that we can contact someone else – its not fun hearing from people on opening day!

You are also asked to specify which days you can work for us:

Monday 16th – Thursday 19th will be setup – NOTE: These are heavy work days of including tasks like placing out fencing, setting up tents, site decoration and other such tasks.

Friday 20th, Saturday 21st, and Sunday 22nd are the days when site is open to the public – 3 days of full festival program! Areas needed to be staffed are festival entrance (tickets and security), headquarters (reception, HQ cleaning), bar work, the art hut, site maintenance (recycling, security and cleaning), stage assistance and general help.

Monday 23 - Tuesday 24 will be more physical work of site deconstruction, bin collection and tidying. NOTE: Please do not offer services for these days if you expect to be up late the night before….+  Deposit (a fully paid ticket) is required and will be refunded after the work is completed.

 Volunteer Hours

The deal is: 4 hours (minimum) work = 1 x free day pass

So we recommend taking a minimum of 12 hrs spread over 2-3 days and then you can definitely enjoy all 3 days of the festival.

Camping is free for all volunteers.
